Teaching Ellie

I was showing Ellie some youtube videos of a friend of mine from high school.
Maybe you've heard of her.....
Lindsey Stirling
Okay so I never actually "hung out" with her, but we were in orchestra together, I desperately wanted to be concert mistress like her, we also had a few seminary classes together.
=)

Anyway Lindsey has made quite a name for herself!
I showed Ellie some of Lindsey's covers.
Have you seen my ultimate favorite?
How about this one?
Ellie wants to do something similar to Crystallize....in her words,
"play outside and dance, pause and build a snowman, then play violin again!"
Lindsey's most recent video is a collaboration with John Legend!
It's totally awesome!

Ellie kept asking or saying, "Can I do that?", "Can I play outside today?", "I want to do that!"

Can't wait to see what Ellie comes up with herself!

Monster University

On Saturday, I had just gotten back from a Young Women Pre-Camp camp out.
The did some certification, and stayed up till the wee hours of the morning and then we woke up as soon as the sun was up!
After I got home and showered, I decided we needed to just go out as a family and have fun!
That's when I remembered MU came out the day prior!
Off we went to the movies and Ellie loved it!
The moment Sully appears on the screen it's just his silhouette.
She recognized it and yelled, "Sully!"
Everyone around us giggled.
I thought she was pretty cute!
At the end of the movie Ellie wanted to go down and dance....she had the most serious face!
We also took pictures with Sully and Mike!
Ellie's suggestion that she was SO excited about!

If you haven't seen it yet, I think it's worth it!
There was one point where I thought, "This isn't done yet?"
But it was short lived!

Crush

I have to admit something to the world...
When I watch the movie Anne of Green Gables I feel a little bit like I am betraying Mr. Dawson.
Let me explain.
I have the biggest crush on Gilbert Blythe
Like HUGE
It's terrible
When I first read the books I knew I was in trouble, I was in love with a fictional character!
Then when I saw the movies....
I think they picked the perfect person to play Gil!

I have such a crush that I wanted to name my future son Gilbert in honor of Gilbert Blythe!
But then my parents moved to Gilbert, AZ....and I just can't do that to my future son!
=)

I'm positive that Mr. Dawson has nothing to worry about as I know that Gilbert is just a fictional character, though I think I will always have a soft spot for Gil!

Movie Review

Now I am no "real" movie critic.
But I am a critic and judge movies.
Of course it's usually only friends and family, and of course the Mr., that hear my judgements!
=)
We just saw Mirror Mirror tonight.
I thought it was fantastically done!
I laughed through it.
And let be honest, the dwarfs are the ones who really made the show!
I would recommend this movie to anyone.
Oh.
What?
You mean to say you already saw it!?
Yeah, the Mr. and I are kinda slow on some movies....

The Avengers on the other hand...we saw that 2-3 weeks after it had been out....
FANTASTIC!
And I might also happen to think that one or two of the avengers is hot...
But let's not get started on that!
;-)

These are only my opinions which no one but me will most likely highly value, just wanted to share!
=)

Tangled

I am convinced that this is Ellie's favorite movie because it's the first one she ever saw!
(She saw it in Theaters the day after it opened)

Anyway watch this clip
Ellie Always laughs at this same part....
1:09 minutes into the clip
When the guy yells, "Rider!" and he runs off.
She ALWAYS giggles.
It's super cute and fun!
Oh and she ALWAYS dances at the music for the credits!
