I'm Alive!

Don't worry my pretty little readers, I am alive and well!
I know it's been 2 months since I last wrote...
Lots has happened!
Both good and bad.
So I will just bullet point, and add pictures, to review.

November after the 11th, which was the last post:
*I found out I was pregnant
* I started miscarrying the night of Young Women in Excellence
This is a celebration we have for our young women in the church 12-18 and all they have spiritually accomplished in the year!
*We traveled to Colorado for Thanksgiving with Mr. Dawson's family
*Finished miscarrying the day before Thanksgiving
* Fantastic time visiting with family and relaxing

December:
*My hair was THIS long!
*I held my 3rd violin studio recital in Kansas
It also happened to be Ellie's first violin recital, spur of the moment decision on her part!
Don't worry we are working on posture! =)
*Mr. Dawson finished the semester with flying colors!
*We traveled to warmer weather and stayed 3 weeks in Arizona visiting family.
*Christmas was awesome
*My cousin got married
*We celebrated 5 years of marriage!
 *Attempted a Family Photo
*Added another temple to our list of visited!
The Gilbert, AZ temple!
*I also got my hair cut...as you can probably tell! =)
*We evaded the polar vortex by staying in AZ for a total of 3 weeks!
And I think that is about it!

2014 is the year!
I feel it!
It's going to be an awesome year!!!
I can't wait to see what it brings!

Christmas Morning!

Another photo post for you!
We had lots of fun staying in Kansas for Christmas.
Ellie enjoyed opening her stocking and presents....
We tried alternating who opened gifts but it didn't keep Ellie's interest.
After her 3rd turn she decided she was done, which was unfortunate that it was a struggle to open the rest of her presents!

That sweatshirt Ellie is wearing is size 2T!!!
She also picked it out at Target a few weeks before Christmas!
=)
Our humble Christmas dinner!

Christmas Eve

I figure I will let all the pictures show you our fun of eating chocolates, how our house was decorated, having fun with empty wrapping paper tubes, camera fun, getting a massage, and the stockings filled by santa!

December 20

We had our first snow!
Fortunately we were kid sitting some friends kids while they were in NY and had an extra snow suit and gloves for Ellie to wear.

The wind was brutal! WAY cold.
And poor Miss Ellie didn't have snow boots to wear.
Needless to say, she lasted about 10 minutes outside!
=)

That evening I had a violin recital!
The first one here in Lawrence!!
All but 3 students showed up.

We are missing one girl in the picture, and of course the three that didn't come!
I think they all did very well and acted very courageously!
Two of them had a hard time getting up in front to play.

A Cold, A Chipped Crown, and Christmas

Happy day before Christmas Eve!

Here's the down low!
Ellie got a cold and a cough....maybe 2 days ago.
I caught her cold and a throat tickle yesterday, trying to keep it from turning into a full blown sinus infection.
ALL my colds quickly turn evil on me!
Mr. Dawson got me some sinus meds that I can feel are doing their magic
(I just want it to work faster!)
Mr. Dawson chipped a crown on his tooth Thursday while eating pancakes.
PANCAKES!!!!
Mr. Dawson being a he-man tough guy, didn't tell me that he was in pain
LOTS OF PAIN
So I just thought that he would be okay, then Friday evening 30 minutes before most dentist offices close I was enlightened into how much pain he was really in!
No dental office would take us that evening or even in one of their emergency slots.
December 26th at 9:50am is his appointment!
Luckily we found an office with availability before January!

We are praying that the colds go away and that he will be in less pain by Christmas Day!
That way we can enjoy the fun!

May you all be blessed with good health Christmas day!
